At home chilling after a wonderful day at the Christmas Craft Fayre promoted by Blonde Marketing and held in the Crown & Mitre Hotel,

It was lovely chatting to the Christmas shoppers and whispers from the elves Santa was kept very busy,:-)

I met some lovely stall holders too while I was there, especially Alison from Carlisle Balloons whose giant Snowman and Mickey Mouse made entirely from balloons were amazing and the lovely couple on Candy Wishes who had beautifully presented sweet treats, Please forgive me not remembering your names,:-(

The Face painting went down a storm with plenty of little Rudolf's with little red noses, sadly my grand-daughter who also attended the event was full of a cold but she was good as gold, what a star :-)

Christmas Fayre

Hi, I have been so busy over the past few months and seemed to hit the Christmas season running, :-)

I am looking forward to having a Stall at the Christmas Fayre being held at the Crown & Mitre at Carlisle on Sunday 9th December,

I will be selling my jewellery pieces and hopefully showcasing my costume creations etc via a PowerPoint display time willing.

This has been a last minute decision, but I think I naturally thrive on tight deadlines ;-)

I have a table next to my daughter Danielle, who is the creative person behind Keepsake's by Danielle, my wonderful daughter has made some beautiful caste's which can be seen on her Facebook page, Danielle is also a creative genius with special effect make-up and prosthetics, but that’s another story.

If you are in the area or visiting Carlisle that weekend pop in and see us, the Continental Christmas Market will be on for the whole weekend and Carlisle is such a beautiful city to visit especially with all the seasonal celebrations going on around the town

Atonement Inspired Dress with Corset Top

My next creation for the Atonement inspired dress was the garment I designed for bridesmaid Lyndsey for her Sister's wedding last Christmas.

I designed the corset top, that was laced at the back with satin ribbon, to be attached to the adapted the lower dress, a side slit was added to the front on the left with the hip wrap knotted on the left above the slit, again the dress is made using 100% silk, Habotai Silk for the lining and 16 mommy Crepe De Chine for the main fabric.

The silk was purchased from Beckford Silk as always, who are absolutely wonderful. On this occasion the fabric I ordered had to be specially dyed to match a velvet fabric I was using for the Jacket I was designing for the Bride. The match was wonderful.

I would now say this garment and the Brides Velvet Jacket are currently my signature pieces,I am very proud of them.

Little Shoe's for Ella Bella :-)

Here are a little pair of shoe's I knitted for my grand-daughter, Ella, they were so quick and easy to knit and look so sweet.

The pattern is from Cool Knits for Kids by Kate Gunn & Robyn Macdonald, a really good book to have :-).

I added a couple of little green heart shaped buttons that just finish the shoe's nicely.
